How To Make Cannabis Infused Smoothies

Cannabis oil and smoothies just go together. It’s a great way to mask the cannabis oil taste, while enjoying a tasty refreshing drink. As long as the smoothie you’re making uses a liquid that contains fats, you’ll be able to absorb the benefits of the cannabinoids. Remember, cannabinoids are lipid which means they need to bind to fat compounds to ensure absorption and efficiency.

Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • Make this all in a blender, super easy to clean up!

  • No cannabis weed taste!

  • Fruity and creamy at the same tight, but without the dairy!

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Almond Milk: You can use any type of dairy free milk or regular milk. I like using almond milk, coconut milk, cashew milk, or oat milk for my smoothies. I recommend using unsweetened nut milk because the fruits will already be sweet enough.

  • Cannabis oil: You can use any type of cannabis oil you have at home. It doesn’t matter what carrier oil is used. I recommend using an olive oil or MCT oil as the taste is more neutral and will blend well with the smoothie. Infused coconut oil is a great option too!

  • Fruits: You can literally making this recipe with any fruit combination — the options are endless! Strawberry banana, mango banana, anything with banana will taste amazing.

Tips and Tricks for Success

  1. Add ice to your smoothie for a more thick ice-like texture. Add more nut milk for a more thin smoothie texture.

  2. Chill your nut milk before using in the smoothie.

Hello! I’m Anna and I’m a cannabis recipe developer and digital content creator with a huge passion for food and the plant. I love creating healthy and delicious cannabis infused recipes as I believe it’s a great way to consume the plant. I’m very lucky to be living in a country like Canada, where cannabis is legalized recreationally and medically.

Outside of making infused recipes, I’m an advocate and educator for the plant, working to end stigmas. I believe that just because you consume the plant, it does not define who you are or your success as an individual. Cannabis consumers come from all walks of life, and their choice behind consumption should be respected.
