Cannabis Infused Gravy

Indulge in a delectable twist on tradition with our cannabis-infused gravy, elevating your dining experience with a flavorful infusion of herbs and the perfect touch of relaxation.

Ingredients

  • 1L chicken broth
  • 4-5 tbsps potato starch
  • Turkey giblets
  • 1-2 tbsps cannabutter
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • Small bunch of rosemary, thyme, sage
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • Optional: mushroom powder
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium-sized pot to medium-high heat
  2. Melt cannabutter and regular butter in the pot and allow it to slightly brown
  3. Once the butter starts to brown, add turkey giblets and allow it to cook both sides of the meat until you get a crispy golden brown on the outer layer
  4. Add the herbs and chopped celery, carrots, and yellow onion to the pot and allow it to cook for 5-8 minutes or until you start smelling the aromas
  5. Add chicken broth to the pot, bring to a boil, and then simmer on low-medium heat for 35 minutes.
  6. Make a potato starch slurry in a small bowl by combining potato starch with water. Mix until it turns into a white sludge.
  7. Pour the potato starch slurry into the broth and mix well.
  8. You’ll start to see the broth thicken up to a gravy texture. Allow it to simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
  9. Turn off the heat. Season with salt, pepper, and optional: mushroom powder. Mushroom powder gives the gravy more depth and umami taste.
  10. Once your gravy is at the consistency you desire, strain the gravy from the ingredients. You can save the remaining ingredients for a turkey soup broth if you wish.
